Mike Gamarnik

Co-Founder & Project Team Lead

My name is Michael Gamarnik, and I’m a fourth-year Aerospace Engineering major and Computer Science minor at Georgia Tech. I’m a former undergraduate researcher with the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory and current Lead Aerodynamics Engineer for a student formula racing team. I have always had an interest in active aerodynamic devices, which has led me to start this exciting project!

Noah Mammen

Hi y’all! My name is Noah Mammen, and I am recent graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. I have been interested in environmental sustainability and efficient systems for years, which is why I joined the AVIS team. When I’m not working on AVIS, I like to travel abroad and learn languages

Tommy Schrager

Co-Founder & Aerospace Team Lead

Hi! My name is Tommy Schrager, and I am a third-year Aerospace Engineer at Georgia Tech. I grew up in Vail, Colorado and am an avid skier who enjoys visiting the mountains whenever I can. I joined AVIS because I wanted to get more involved with my field of study outside of my education, and so far, working with this amazing team has made me incredibly excited to pursue aerospace. I am looking forward to seeing what this passionate team is going to accomplish

Samantha Hartz

Design Team Lead

Hi! My name is Samantha Hartz, and I am a fifth year majoring in Industrial Design. I have always had a sustainability focus in my work, which makes being a part of AVIS so exciting! Outside of this project, I volunteer with GT GOALS for the Special Olympics, and I do design work for clients throughout the east coast. I am excited to do my part in reducing emissions and creating environmentally conscious design

Dr. Kelly Griendling

Faculty Advisor

Dr. Kelly Griendling is the faculty research advisor for the AVIS team and a lecturer in the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. Dr. Griendling has been instrumental in helping the team navigate the grant process and has greatly facilitated the team’s collaboration with Georgia Tech and the Guggenheim School. Dr. Griendling received her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2011, after receiving a B.S. and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006 and 2008
